December 5, 2006

My Dear Pastor Jennifer,

Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

A word of thanks to you for being the guest speaker at our 2006 Women’s Retreat.  The theme for the weekend was ‘Living without Regret’. Your able handling of the topic inspired and lifted the women present, to new heights in their dedication and service to the Lord.

Many of the women had never heard you speak before, and so attended the retreat not knowing what to expect.  They trusted me as their leader to bring to them, a speaker who walked closely with the Lord, and whose theology was in line with the biblical teaching they had been receiving from our pastor, Rev. Gene Archer.  Pastor Archer at all times reveals to us the deep things of Christ our Lord, and correctly handles the Word, so that our minds’ understanding is expanded but Christ remains our focus.  I am pleased to say that none were disappointed, and we all felt and saw the power of God revealed on that retreat weekend.

To say thanks does not seem enough for how you allowed the Lord to move in and through you.  I believe we could all say we were blessed, moved and inspired.  Healing of the mind body and soul took place as we all with one accord worshipped the Lord in the beauty of His Holiness.

In December as the Women’s Fellowship wrapped up our year and looked back over 2006 and all that we had accomplished, I know you would be pleased to hear that all declared that their highlight for 2006 was by far the Women’s Retreat.

Though our weekend was not without trials, as our faith and ability to lean on Jesus was tested by the wind and rain of the storm on the Saturday night.  I think I speak for all when I say that, none was in doubt that should our lives be lost we would be safe and secure with Jesus.   That weekend we were truly brought close to Jesus and felt His presence ever near.

My wish for you as this year closes is the same blessing I pronounced upon the women of our Women’s Fellowship – It is found in Numbers 6:24-26 – May the Lord Bless you and your ministry, may He keep you, and may He grant you His peace as He lifts up the light of His countenance upon you.

Yours in Christ,

Sonia Tomilson
